Satabdi Women’s Organisation For Social Welfare
Our organization Satabdi Women’s Organisation For Social Welfare is a voluntary organization run by solely a dedicated and like-minded group of women that has concentrated on welfare works for persons with disabilities.
We have established a daycare school “Snehaneer” for the development of differently abled children (special children) in the district of Hooghly, West Bengal. Satabdi, the mother organization also arranges vocational training for the mentally retarded and persons with multiple disabilities has a strong relevance to the solution of the problem of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. We are dedicated to and train children and adolescents with behavioral problems and multiple disabilities like slow learners, mental retardation, down syndrome, hearing, speech, and visual impairments and look to improve the health and quality of life of socially disadvantaged people living in our state. Over the past 20 years, our organization has become an integral part of people’s lives as the poor people with disabilities in this region have come to rely on the services it provides to the community.
Mission
To make positive differences in the lives of people with multiple disabilities, mentally retarded, and their families by identifying and reducing the impact of disabilities and to ensure education for children with disabilities.
Vision
To empower the lives of persons with disabilities by creating a peaceful and healthy world offering them an opportunity for living a quality life and to gear up social consciousness about mainstreaming of children with disabilities.
Goal
We act as a welfare family where the parents of persons with multiple disabilities can find a mental shelter forever and grow awareness of the laws and human rights issues associated with their children and give special attention to desired growth of those special children.
